Through our educational events, we connect the community with experts, caregivers, and organizations working every day to improve the lives of those impacted by dementia. These events serve as an important part of our Awareness pillar, helping us educate, inspire, and foster meaningful conversations around brain health and Alzheimer's care.

Dementia Friends is a one-hour educational session that provides participants with practical knowledge and skills to better support individuals living with dementia. During the presentation, attendees will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of dementia, communicate effectively with those affected, distinguish between normal aging and dementia, understand key messages from individuals living with dementia, and apply this knowledge in meaningful, real-world ways.

As our population ages, more people are encountering dementia in everyday settings, making this education increasingly valuable for families, workplaces, faith communities, and the broader community. Even those who have attended a previous session are encouraged to return as a refresher!

Once the event reaches the $2,500 minimum in sales, 10% of all additional sales will be donated back to BvB Dallas to help fund our mission.

Parking will be available on the building’s plaza or in the adjoining parking garage. You may enter the building via the parking garage on the ground level. Elevators are right inside the building. Event staff and signs will direct guests to the 14th floor.
