At BvB Dallas, we are committed to making a lasting impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s by supporting organizations that provide critical research, care, and support for those affected. Our beneficiaries are dedicated to advancing treatments, improving patient care, and offering resources to families navigating the challenges of dementia. Together, we are tackling Alzheimer’s—one game, one grant, and one breakthrough at a time.

Accelerating Equity in Access to Alzheimer’s Education, Resources, and Support

BvB funds provide the staff and resources to achieve a 25% increase in engagement and access to dementia education, resources, and support in the Black/African American, Asian American Pacific Islander, and Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer or Questioning communities.

Dementia-Friendly Continuum of Care

BvB Dallas funds and supports Juliette Fowler’s initiatives that assist people with various levels of cognitive health. Programs such as “ I’m Still Here” as well as Dementia Friendly Dallas help create better awareness and care for caregivers and people with dementia here in Dallas.

 

The Senior Source Logo
Developing and Promoting Agency Wide Dementia Expertise

Funding from BVB Dallas will support ongoing programing of The Senior Source provided to enhance the well-being of older adults affected by Alzheimer’s related dementia as well as those who care for them, specifically through the agency’s Caregiver Support and Guardianship Programs.

 

Fellowship Funding

BvB Dallas will continue to partner with UT Southwestern Medical Center by funding the Clinical Neuropsychology Alzheimer’s Disease Fellowship, which provides the opportunity to rapidly develop expertise in differential diagnosis and treatment of dementia.

Diagnosis & Treatment Research

BvB will also support UT Southwestern in their research to diagnose and treat Alzheimer’s disease by optimizing and validating techniques to deliver human tau antibodies across the blood brain barrier in patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
