2009:
BvB Dallas returned big in 2009, kicking off a second season with a roster of both new and veteran players and coaches. All participants played hard on and off the field, by end of summer having raised over $160,000 in donations for the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Game Day also received a big upgrade, with Blondes and Brunettes taking the field at SMU’s Westcott Field hosting over 1,000 fans and supporters. Team Blonde fought hard to defend their 2008 inaugural win, taking yet a second title in 2009 over the Brunettes with a score of 13-12 in overtime.
BvB would like to thank all sponsors, players, fans and friends who helped us exceed our financial goal in 2009, as well as enjoy one fantastic summer. We look forward to another benchmark year in 2010!
2008:
Blondes vs. Brunettes of Dallas officially kicked off under the care of Dallas’ own Erin Finegold in 2008, making a huge impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Players and coaches rallied together and raised a grand total of $62,500 in donations, far exceeding the group’s initial goal of $25K. Over 400 fans, friends and family packed the bleachers at Griggs Park to see Dallas’ finest young female professionals swop out their pearls for cleats and compete in one serious powder-puff football game. At the end of the day the Blondes claimed the win but all in attendance claimed a victory against Alzheimer’s disease.
BvB would like to thank the players, coaches, fans, and sponsors who helped make our inaugural year so special.
